Resource Blog #3

I find this resource excellent for middle school teachers across all content areas because of how simple the sight is constructed around Georgia standards. This follows the standards for grades K-8 for science and social studies with math and language arts following through high school. You can select Georgia and it will display the whole standard with sections below which offers quizzes and explanations. The science quizzes were the most notable to me because the questions do not heavily rely on vocab where they are about applying knowledge to real scenarios. I see these benefiting students the most for test prep because it will further their understanding of a topic past the information in the textbook. On top of this, the site’s clear directory makes it engaging where all the information you are looking for can be found easily. This resource provides all of the learning objectives free of charge. There are additional resources that can be used for becoming a member including classroom diagnostics and analytics. These come with a membership fee that isn’t shown on the website but I can see how this could potentially benefit my future classroom from it assessing the knowledge that students know as they complete quizzes and assessments. This could be kept track of without paying the extra money but I can see how it can be useful by making the data easily available online. Areas that a student is struggling in could be relayed to the family where they could schedule a short amount of time that their child practices. In all, this is my favorite resource so far because I can see a child being more likely to incorporate their free time towards this.

  1. Tyler, I am so happy I came upon your resource. My area of emphasis is science as well and after exploring this website, I will definitely use this in my class. One thing that I really liked about it is that is focuses around the Georgia Standards which is very useful for us educators. I am all about practice quizzes because I have always found them to be a great tool to master information.
